WHY STOLPMAN VINEYARDS?

“The people and place. I really like the wines, and I love the people.

“Stolpman Vineyards is a family affair. Over 20 years ago, Thomas Stolpman had the vision and foresight to buy 220 acres in Ballard Canyon. He planted 153 acres on three major limestone ridgelines in Santa Barbara.

“Today, Tom’s son Peter is the managing partner. His wife, Jessica (also a partner), runs the California wholesale market. They’re passionate about all things wine, which often leads them to travel and study in France.

Their current wines focus on Rhone varietals: Syrah, Grenache, and Roussanne.” – Sally Kim, DRG Wine Director
