Why Scribe?
“I love the story of Scribe because it’s a family business. Andrew Mariani and his younger brother Adam founded the winery in 2007. Their sister Kelly is the resident chef at the Hacienda.
They are all 4th generation farmers who’ve carved their own path into wine, practicing eco-friendly and sustainable farming.
I’ve watched and tasted the wines evolve over the last four years; I love what they’re doing. The wines are super quaffable, varietally correct, and fun! They experiment with some of my favorite varieties like Sylvaner and Riesling.
They’re also kind, generous, and hospitable people. We’ve become good friends since our “Delfina in Movimento” pop-up back in January when I discovered our philosophies align a lot; so much so that Andrew and I collaborated on a wine for Delfina. We now have a delicious Sonoma County Chardonnay to be released this fall. You can be one of the first to taste it at this dinner. Don’t miss out!” – Sally Kim, DRG Wine Director
